This is a new recording I made in 2006 of an instrumental I first recorded in 2000.
In the original recording, the main riff is identical, the chordal solos and solo sections are the same, the bass part is nearly identical, and the drum part is mostly similar but less skillfully performed. However, the sound of the guitars is very different.
The new recording adds distortion and mixes the guitars more clearly, mixes up the rhythm parts with a lot more variation and interest instead of just constant-strumming, and it features a drum part that I can't actually play personally. (My drum skills in 2006 were largely unchanged from 2000; although they've advanced a lot in the last couple of years, I definitely can't play 8th notes at 188 bpm; I can't even come close to playing this song on Expert in Rock Band.)
