A BRIEF HISTORY OF SCIENCE
**************************

Look!

                                          What?

I put these rocks in the fire. This
shiny stuff melted out!

It's strange and scary. Destroy it!

Look!

                                          What?

This well 'sees' the sun at noon. In
Alexandria the angle's different!

By Zeus! the world *is* round!

Look!

                                          What?

Objects of differing weights fall at
the same speed! Such a mystery!

Some universal force is at work....

Look!

                                          What?

My figures show a minor perturbation
in Jupiter's orbit. There's another
planet!

Unbelieveable! what shall we call it?

Look!

                                          What?

I've cracked the genetic code! This
tube holds the first man-made fetus!

It's strange and scary. Destroy it!
