               when I win the lottery 
             I will be a thin rusk of blue
               eggshell that remembers watching
             the bony head bashing through
              the pinfeathers slick with 
                   albumen the desperate 
                   shoving implacable throat 
                    squealing hunger to slaving 
                       parents who pecked me 
                       to pieces shoving me
                   out to skim downwards 
                           where I land     

  on the path 
     under the eaves
            an old man 
                squashes a
                      wheelbarrow     
                             over me 
                                  on his way 
                                      to weed the parsnips 
                                         singing polly-wolly-doodle
