Another one...
Pacing
^^^^^^
Ticking off the neighbors
after the street lights go on
I slip and slide outside
prancing in my yard, proud
My loud thoughts and
angry stares clean the clocks
of those who just cannot groove
to my funky rhythyms
Only if the voices would stop
though
The grass is matted and matted
but it doesn't matter it
will rain tomorrow and
tomorrow it will be green again
I have to pace at night because
they just won't let me sleep no
sleep for the wicked they say
I'm wicked but I worry and worry
They haven't stopped, they haven't
stopped
No I don't howl at the moon like
the neighbors like to tell their
dinner guests when they look out
the dining room window and see me
But I pace and pace and pace worrying
about what they are saying in
my damn head they just won't stop
and I just can't quit worrying
They just won't quit. They just
won't.
They only speak to me at night at
night is when they speak and torment me
and won't let me sleep they won't
let me sleep oh god I want sleep
So I pace and pace running ruts in my
yard which turn green after it rains
anyways so it isn't making much
sense to me anymore sleep sleep
