Back in Boston.
I spent the last day or so visiting two old college friends, Robin and Oren. I hadn't seen them in two years (since the last CGDC was in L.A., rather than San Jose). Their lifestyle has changed a bit--they have a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter. I guess I'm weirdly alien around kids (but then, they seemly weirdly alien to me, so what do you expect), but it worked out fine--she wasn't freaked out around me, and I wasn't freaked out around her. Larger doses might be a problem.
Sadly, I never connected with Art at the conference--he got sick soon after I arrived.
